IASMP is a not-for-profit organization that promotes the education and practice of medical physics amongst physicists from the Asian Subcontinent.
Indo American Society of Medical Physicists was founded in 1993 with the objective of encouraging the application of physics in medicine in USA and Canada. It provides a forum for medical physicists of South Asian origin to interact and exchange ideas. IASMP members across USA and Canada work closely with many AAPM corporate members to develop and test new products.
The Association collaborates with similar organizations around the world to enhance and promote the quality of medical physics. Currently it has an active membership of about 200, comprising mostly of physicists of South Asian origin.
